It almost seemed that Tarona was trying to kill Shan. Surely she was not! BUT!!! Surely she knew what would happen if she released all her power to him at once? A very odd thing to do.
For me it sounded as if Tarona did willingly that very same thing that some families in Civilization do to their children in order to keep them with them instead of sending them off to the Hosa. And it also seems to be the same thing that Shan offered his Pady if she kept considering her gift something unwanted for more than a year. And most dramliz seem to believe that closing up one’s gift is something that is done to someone by others and not something one can do to one’s self.
Ok, I see that, yes, but she nearly killed him, were it not for Padi and Tekelia.
