The one thing I *did* think of was how this action—one more “special case” landing in Korval’s back field—might affect the impression that the TerraTrade survey team was forming of Surebleak.
Once again, I had forgotten a comment I’d meant to include:
I suppose everyone but me registered the association the authors intended we make—when Daav/Kor Vid tells Udari that the energy strike ought to have killed him outright, given what I know of such weapons—? But I didn’t “get it” until I was reading for the umpteenth time for this re-read discussion.
