There seems to me to be a lot of book left for where we’re at.
The Department seems to be well in hand, likewise the Assembly. Things with Rys and the Bedel have some playing out to do, but it doesn’t seem likely there are going to be any major surprises.
What does that leave us? Boss Surebleak’s response to the election. And whatever the Clutch technical team is going to do that justifies its presence in the story, because so far that hasn’t really affected anything else that’s going on.
But there are quite a few pages left…
Yep. This chapter felt like an interlude with exposition. I had no notes to myself marked in the entire chapter. On first read, I was still a bit apprehensive about Rys, but I didn’t care about the election, and I assumed Boss Surebleak would have been left without motivation to continue, now that the DOI was basically dismantled.
